8 favorite book covers | blue-green

blue covers can either look bad or magical. In this case, here are some covers I find looking pretty magical. It is not always the covers that have the most intricate twist and details that are always the prettiest. My favorite covers are always those that have much thought put into it and how it reflects the contents of the book itself.

‘8 favorite book covers’ is an original idea and blog segment of mine.

There are people who may not agree with my opinions but this is my blog, all the books that are added to segments such as these are only those that I have encountered. 🙂

1.     The Hero of Ages by Brandon Sanderson

My most recent obsession had had to be added here. The story is just as beautiful as the covers. This cover isn’t entirely blue but the little misty blue gives the cover a very nice touch.

2.     Release by Patrick Ness

I love the different details you can get from this very minimalistic cover. the title is nothing more than a watermark and I love how it all comes together.

3.     Thunderhead by Neal Shusterman

Oh please, I fell in love with cover the minute I saw it. You can’t tell me you didn’t either. I am currently reading the first book in the Arc of a Scythe series and LOVIN it. I can’t wait to get to the second book and see the cover every day on my shelf when I finally purchase it.

4.     Sea Witch by Sarah Henning

Have you ever seen a witch that looked as beautiful as that? She literally looks like she’s rising from water.

I have no idea what this book is about but it is very intriguing.

5.     The Selection by Kiera Cass

Don’t judge me on this, but let’s just say that it was not the romance between a prince and a commoner that got me to buy this book.

6.     Pacifica by Kirsten Simmons

I have no idea what genre this book is but the cover looks like a masterpiece was painted just to put on the cover. ❤

7.     All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr

This is a historical fiction novel that I am still reading. It is currently on my bedside table and I read it every once in a while, enjoying it every time. I like the story so far even though I have not read more than 10 pages at a time. But, it is nice to see this cover just waiting for me every time I get back to my room.

8.     Our Dark Duet by Victoria Schwab

The covers make so much more sense if you read this story. But essentially this is about monsters who play instruments (LOL). I don’t want to say a lot because it may ruin the first book for y’all.

I just really think I have a weak spot for music-inspired covers 🙂 I also really like the typography here and how it seems to fit the music theme but still not being too flowery, since it is curvy and all.
